Ben Crenshaw has birdied four of his first 10 holes to jump up on the leaderboard.
Crenshaw, who is 6-under for the tournament, is perhaps best known in Naples for creating quite a stir in his tour debut at TwinEagles in 2002. Unfortunately, it wasn't much for his play -- Crenshaw tied for 43rd. But during the tournament, former President George Bush and then-Florida Gov. Jeb Bush came out to the course after a fund-raiser in Naples.
It was surreal to watch the procession of SUVs drive up to the clubhouse. Then the Bushes were off on a cart to meet Crenshaw in the middle of a fairway.
