Luxury appliances could bring 130% ROI
Posted September 19, 2007
This month the Luxury Institute posted the results from a survey asking which residential appliance manufacturer is the most prestigious.
Out of the 20 appliance brands surveyed, Wolf took top honors followed by Viking and La Cornue respectively.
While that is interesting what really grabbed my attention was a quote from Milton Pedraza, CEO of the Luxury Institute.
"Wealthy consumers recognize that high-end home appliances are a smart investment as they typically provide a 130% return on their price when selling a home. These consumers also appreciate top-of-the-line appliances for their sophisticated design, advanced features and enviable status indicators. During a housing downturn, that has affected even the luxury segments, delivering prestigious appliance brands as part of the kitchen venue is one of the most important value-added differentiators for buyers. In challenging times, our impartial 'voice of the high net worth consumer' surveys are a critical endorsement for luxury brands."
In a real estate market like Naples with many multi-million dollar homes for sale you have to find what makes your home special when you are trying to promote it.
If you feel your home falls short of buyers’ expectations, start looking where improvements can be made that will make the most impact such as a kitchen remodel.
