On the road again

From the dugout

Aug. 10, 2007

We are three-quarters through our season right now, and ending a 12-game road trip.

We went from Fort Wayne, to Dayton, and finally an eight-hour bus trip to Appleton, Wis. I can tell a little bit everyone misses Beloit and there own beds, including me. Hotels and eating out are good for only so long.

We are 5-6 so far on this trip, so .500 would be fine. We have played pretty good overall, just a few plays here, a break there, and we could of won all of them.

I know the guys see the end near, but we always have to remind them how important these last 100 at-bats are. It is always how you finish that sticks in your mind. I could not be more proud of them though. We could be 0-100 or 100-0. These boys have given me everything they have, and they play hard.

I can't wait to see everyone soon. Let me know how the summer ended up, and I will be in touch with you soon. Get back to me soon, try to include your phone number again so I can get everything lined up when I get home.
