Today: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 90. Heat index values as high as 103. East wind 6 to 13 mph becoming south. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Widely scattered showers will continue to move northward through Florida Bay and the southeast Gulf of Mexico. Some of these showers will move onshore from Marco Island south to Cape Sable with brief light showers possible. The main concern will be for mariners as winds and seas higher in the areas of precipitation.

Tonight: Isolated showers and thunderstorms before 2am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 77. South wind between 4 and 7 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
