Dr. Brian Thornburg is a board certified pediatrician who has practiced in Naples for the past six years. He and his wife, a retired emergency physician, will shortly have six children below the ages of 8 years once the twins arrive in December 2009. Dr. Thornburg trained in pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia and lectured their medical students regarding the benefits of osteopathic medicine for several years. He was a Commissioned Officer in the United States Public Health Service while in medical school and worked at the Agency for Healthcare Policy and Research in the Center for Outcomes and Effectiveness Research. He has conducted research at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and at the University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Thornburg also holds a Masters degree in Management and a Bachelors degree in Philosophy. He was the recipient of the Thomas Brown McClellend Trust Scholarship while attending Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
