Mark Lye is a resident at Quail West and a Champions Tour player. He also is an analyst for The Golf Channel. Lye, 54, won the 1983 Bank of Boston Classic on the PGA Tour and has played a limited schedul on the Champions Tour because of injuries and balancing his Golf Channel duties. He will be lending his insights throughout the tournament.

I kind of worked it out the last 25 holes were just really as good as I can play, I think. I’m still making mental errors because it’s my first tournament since September.

At The Golf Channel, we always have a meeting at 12 o’clock the day before the tournament, so we had that today.

I’ll tell you what, people look at it like I have a home-course advantage. It definitely isn’t because the golf course is set up in a way where it’s not like any course I’ve ever seen. Now we have rough where we don’t usually have rough. The greens are faster. I’m kind of learning this place all over again.
