What happened in the Naples and Marco waters this week it went from hot Summer to cold winter in all of two days. Well good news by the end of week back to warmer weather. I know I had asked for a cool down but Geeze. that was a little much. Fishing went into a tailspin but seems to be recovering fine.

Great fishing this week in the Naples and Marco waters!

This weeks fishing has been pretty good all things considered in Naples and Marco. Fished into the deep Backcountry Creeks with good success on Snook and small Tarpon. Bait fished the outside passes and bays and had a good day on Monday and Tuesday catching lots of Snapper, Snook and even a couple of Reds. Had to come in by noon because of chance of heat stroke. Feels like September not October.

Fishing in the Naples and Marco area has been good but therre have been days were it seems like the fish have dissapeared never to return and then poof the next day were back banging them again. Congrats to all the fisherman and guides that fished the Red/Snook Tounament this year and congrats to the winners of each division. Thanks to all for the donations.

Naples and Marco Fishing Report for April and May
Posted 4/29/2009 at 5:16 p.m. 0 comments
Fishing this month in the Naples and Marco area has certainly been interesting and challenging. Some days you couldn’t miss while other days you felt like you were swimming backwards against a strong outgoing tide that would never end. Overall the Tarpon fishing never really materialized at least on fly. We caught a few on bait but it was slow up here. Snook fishing on bait and fly was up and down one day good the next day a struggle. Thank god I have a lot of patience and a never ending supply of places to fish on most days we could scratch them out. Redfish??? What is a Redfish. I think on both fly and bait we boated 6 all month. Every fish but one was oversized.

March and April Fishing Report for Naples and Marco
Posted 4/2/2009 at 2:17 p.m. 0 comments
Well here we are the end of March and the first of April and things seem to be right on track with the fishing. The Naples, Marco, and Everglades seem to be alive with fish and all willing to eat a fly or artificial or white bait. Everything a go for a good spring we had one little set back this week some high winds and cooler temps has the fish a little off the feed, but I expect if things straighten out it will get good again.

Fishing in the Naples and Marco area is a little chilly but the fish do not seem to care.

December Fishing in the Naples and Marco Back Country waters so far has been very good. There has been some chilly mornings but the afternoons have been nothing short of BEAUTIFUL. Most of my Fly clients have been fishing the afternoons and the Bait / Jig guys have been morning fishing. The night time has also produced some great Snook Fishing.
