Fished Morning, Noon, and Night last week and would have to say the fishing was pretty good on all fronts. Night fishing under the lights with Peter Guerra from Miami produced great results. He tallied 19 Snook releases in four hours and is currently leading that division of the met tournament. The way things started off I thought we were going to tally between 25 and 30 fish but his luck and time ran out. We had a big dry spell in the middle of the trip, we just couldn't seem to land them with breakoffs, pulled hooks, and short strikes, but all in all it was a good night. Day fishing on Fly has been producing also We have been jumping some nice Tarpon, and catching good numbers of Snook, both inside and out on the beaches. Redfishing has been sporadic with bait and on fly. One day good the next not so good.
Fishing next week should start picking up after the fish stop feeling the affects of this high pressure and the cold front. I would expect this to be Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Wish we had some more rain with this front it would of helped our Tarpon. Keep up the good casting and I hope everyone that gets out over the Holiday has great success. Happy Easter Roanz.
