Fished almost every day through the temperature plummet. Tough at first, thought it might of killed every fish in the water with a 10 to 12 degree temp drop. Good news we are coming out of it just fine. Snook fishing is picking back up in Naples and Marco and the Reds are definetly a little more aggressive now that the water temps are cooler. The cooler water temps should stabilize and actually move a little warmer the next week if we do not see any more deep freezes. Fishing will still be tricky I would expect. The Reds and Snook will be moving and trying to figure out what they want to do. Night fishing should get better with the cooler temps and we should start catching some Reds and Trout under the lights. Saw this allready last Thursday night fishing at Doctors Pass caught three reds under the lights small but fiesty. Fished a couple of Bass trips and one Everglades trip today. Bass fishing still a little fuzzy but seems to be picking up. Everglades trip started slow today but when the tide and sun finaly warmed things up we tallied one Tarpon and a bunch of Snook including a couple of bruisers that just did not want to be landed, close but no cigar. I will be dreaming tonight about the take of the fly off the top of the water it was just sitting there when she sucked it in with a Pop that could be heard all the way to Wootens. Good luck and Good Fishing Roan z.
