I am a resident of Fort Myers (with “snowbird” time in Northern New Jersey). In my pre-retirement days, I was a CPA and university professor of accounting with diverse background in the areas of finance, health care administration (as chairman of a hospital board), and local government (as CFO of a municipality in New York State with a population of over 200,000 people). Additionally, I have had leadership roles in various not-for-profit groups. Since retirement, I have written frequent letters to the editor and occasional guest commentaries and essays.
