Now it's for Real

Red Sox Spring Training

It's become a joke among us reporters, the so-called Mayor's Cup that goes to the winner of the Sox/Twins best-of-five each spring. Terry Francona joked about the significance of the game before BP started, then of course, sitting right there in the Twins clubhouse, the cup itself (which Minnesota's won each of the past two seasons). Just a World Series-type atmosphere here.

In all seriousness, you're getting pretty close to everyday guys tonight under the lights at COP. Here's Boston's lineup: SS-Lugo, 1B-Youkilis, DH-Ortiz, RF-Ramirez, C-Varitek, 3B-Lowell, CF-Pena, 2B-Pedroia. Josh Beckett is your starter.

For the Twins: 2B-Castillo, 3B-Cirillo, C-Mauer, RF-Cuddyer, 1B-Morneau, CF-Hunter, LF-White, DH-Kubel, SS-Bartlett. Glenn Perkins is starting tonight for Minnesota.
