On this blog, I'll take the insight I've gained from my year as a Page in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington and mix it with my personal feelings and experiences in local politics. I'll tackle today's important local, state, and national political issues by getting messy, discussing the implausible, and figuring out what combination of policy, politics, and procedure will provide America with the right solutions to its challenges.
I am 17 and was born in New York City. I have lived in sunny Naples for the last 12 years and am entering my senior year of high school at The Community School. Being right there in the thick of things on Capitol Hill for the counting of the Electoral votes, the swearing in of the 111th Congress, and President Barack Obama's first Joint Address has been one of the most wonderful and eye-opening experiences of my life.
