BIG...GRANDE...HUGE...COLOSSAL...
Those are the words that describe the new Super Target!!!
I had to drive down I-75 to the Immokalee exit even though there are closer Targets to me, to see what all the hype was about. It's HUGE that's what it is! I have been to Targets all over the place in many different states and this by far is the largest one ever.
I started in the grocery department. The veggie display was like a color pallet, lots of meats in the meat department but the bakery took my eye. It was more like a specialty bakery with beautiful goodies in the glass cases and lots to choose from! Aisle after aisle of canned goods, pastas, dressings and condiments. Coffees, teas and all the baking goodies you will ever use, plus the dairy and frozen department. It seemed bigger than Publix!
Then I wandered through the rest of the store...they have all the departments that all their other stores have just more, more, more!
There were rows after rows of coffee pots, crock pots, blenders...any kind of small appliance you need. I noticed they carry Calphalon cook wear.
Lots of back to school things, you could outfit the whole school here!
The jewelry department stocks bangles, big belts and chic jewelry that gives you lots of glam! All the hot colors in plastic baubles that are so trendy now. I noticed they carry 14K gold, too, a nice selection. And Dominique Choen, better costume jewelry ranging from $14.99 to 59.99. Also Devi Kroell handbags from $35 to 59.99.
The clothing departments were huge with everything from infant, toddlers to teens and of course big selections in men's and women's.
The shoe department...well I can't even go there...you know how much I love shoes!! All I can say is you'll flip over these flops!!!
I found reed diffusers that were bold and spicy inspired by the spice markets of Morocco. Lots of candles and candle holders in every color and size. Great selection of paper party wear... you wouldn't have to pull out the "good stuff"! A great greeting card section and all kinds of wrapping paper, ribbons and bags.
I always like to look at the dollar section, you never know what you will find for a buck! There were zebra print shoe organizers, mesh utility bags, cocktail shakers, measuring cups and spoons, a dish scrubber that holds soap. All kinds of things, all for a dollar!
It's a good thing they also have places to eat like Pizza Hut and Starbucks as you will need some nourishment if you are going to cover the whole store!! There are many departments I didn't even go to....so spend a day and cover it all!!
Personally shopped for you! Find more shopping news in the Banner's Shopping section.
