THREE BAGS FULL............

When I waltzed into Harry and David I didn't expect to come out of there
with THREE shopping bags full!!! I am probably like a lot of people thinking that all they carry are cute little jars of jams and relishes, and of course Moose Munch...WRONG!!!
The manager Susan spent a lot of time with me pointing out all the different goodies they carry and giving me a taste of this and that. Of course you gotta have it once you taste it!

The business started in 1934 and are known for their Royal Rivera pears from Oregon. They have a patent on them and no one else can grow the Comice pear.

Some of the trees are 60 years old and all are picked by hand. I must say they are very tasty... I got six of them. They use them a lot in gift baskets from $30 and up and in their towers found in the cooler.

Harry & David's number one seller is jars of pepper and onion relish. There was a sample mixed with cream cheese...yummy! I bought those, too! Three for $12.95. Susan told me they sold 73,000 jars in ONE month! Now that's a lot of relish!

It is especially good with the multi-grain tortilla chips, which are stone ground.

All truffles are made in their candy kitchen in Medford, Oregon. Yep, some of those made it in the bag! 4 oz. for 2/$10., 8 oz. 2/$15 and 16 oz. 2/$30.

The bagged truffles usually are $10 each and were on sale for 2/$17. There are no preservatives in their chocolate.

Then there is Harry & David's famous Moose Munch which is popcorn covered in toffee or chocolate with almonds and cashews, bagged 2/$12. There is even a sugar-free section.

What I didn't know is you can buy a frozen, full cooked spiral cut ham or an oven-roasted smoked turkey, frozen hors d'oeuvre that just need to be popped into the oven. Like artichoke with merlot brie over puff pastry $14.95. Caramelized onion brie, pear gorgonzola with pear cranberry and hazelnut....YUM!!! Cheese cakes made by hand, sour cream coffee cakes and peach praline at $9.95.

Even homemade tomato basil linguine pasta at $2.47.

The list goes on and my bags get fuller!! Party mixes, trail mix, cheese straws...buy three get one free!

Bar-B-Q grilling sauces 2/$12. After Five Martini mixes in raspberry lemon drop, lime drop, white peach, apple or black raspberry 2 bottles for $20. Do we have to wait till after 5?

Pick out what you want and they will make beautiful custom gift baskets for you.
Take your time, there is so much more to see and taste...gotta go now...off to weight watchers!!

Harry & David is located in Miromar Outlets, 10801 Corkscrew Rd. Suite 127
