Hitting the racks at Marshall's
Posted March 23, 2007
Do you like going to the zoo?
That 's what it was like going to the grand opening of the new Marshall's at Gulf Coast Town Center. What a lot of fun! I didn't say it wasn't worth it!! The store is spacious and bright, well laid out and has everything you could want! The shoe department is the size of a football field...well, maybe half a football field! You will probably find at least two or three pairs of shoes that you can't live without!
The prices are great, here are some of the things I found on my shopping spree. Four place mats, $7.99, darling leopard brooms for $8.99 -- who wouldn't want one of these? A great six piece martini set, $14.99, very nice selection of comforter sets in the latest colors, King $79.99, Queen $59.99. Godiva Creme Brulee coffee, $7.99. You could serve it in wonderful little polka dot mugs at $3.99.
The list goes on and on...cook books $2.99, photo albums $4.99, beautiful boxed monogrammed notes, $3.99.
Ladies you will go crazy over the purses, Liz Claiborne, Tommy Hilfiger and Etienne Aigner just to mention a few at $19.99 each.
Get ready for the beach -- bathing suits from $16.99 to $29.99 and beach towels to go with from $5.99 to $12.99.
I couldn't resist the kids department with such cute dresses and two piece outfits for $12.99. Tiny bathing suits for your littlest mermaid only $7.99-9.99.
In the men's department I found designer jeans for $19.99, Ping golf shirts $14.99, Tommy Bahama ties as little as $12.99 and a must have for your guy for the next pool party.
Columbia tropical print shirts only $19.99. I saved the ladies department for last...it was like an overdose of caffeine there was so much to look at! Carol Little linen capris and jacket $29.99, Polo tees $16.99, Paris Blues jeans $12.99, Carol Little city shorts $16.99. Safari cologne by Ralph Lauren $29.99.
That pretty much exhausted me for the day. Then I got in the line to pay and that was like going to Disney, but while I was making my way to the front I talked to several people about the new store....Peggy Moore from Erie, Pa. said there were a lot of bargains, Betsy Rosser from Churchill, NY said the store was beautiful and the lines were worth it, Camille who lives here said it was stupid to come on opening day, me....I just love to shop!
I think everyone will enjoy this new addition to the shopping center.
