I stumbled on a little treasure trove of wonderful and unusual little gifts today. I have passed it a million times but decided to stop and have a look, I wasn't disappointed! It is called Petals and Presents owned for 5 years by Thea Cernohous.
It is just a small little place but loaded with great little gifts that you don't find in other places. Good for hostess or thank you gifts. My favorite was a bean bag pillow that was embroidered with "It's not shopping...it's retail Therapy!" Don't you just love it!
There were hankies that were formed into tiny dresses on teeny-tiny hangers for $7.99. Beautiful pewter measuring spoons for $16.49 and the spoon holder was only $7.99. Also gorgeous beach glass perfume bottles in deep rich colors that sell elsewhere for $58.00...Thea's price $24.99. Key chains with rhinestone add ons, $3.99. Cute!
For you book worms I found very nice ribbon and pewter bookmarks for only $6.49. Shell place card holders 6 for $14.99...figure it this way that's only 2.50 each and will look great at your next dinner party! Girly-girl business card holders, cute pewter magnets at $5.99.
She also carries Willow Tree ceramic figures, Yankee candles and Little Dippers, they are little bears that have been dipped in scented wax so they smell really good! And when the scent goes away just hit them for a minute with your hair dryer and they smell good again!!
There is a baby crib filled with all kinds of unusual gifts for the little one. Like a baby shoe that is soap! Tiny hand crocheted sweaters with pink or blue trim and are framed...great gift!
Also she is a full service florist and can send your selection anywhere or you can go in and just pick out a few stems for a special bouquet. Go visit Thea's little shop...Petals and Presents at 20741 S. Tamiami Trail in Estero. (just before Broadway)
I think you will be pleasantly surprised as I was! Enjoy!
