ALL THE WONDROUS THINGS....
AT THE MOLE HOLE!
This is a real treasure trove of unusual gifts, treasures, decorative accessories and a gallery. I haven't been in for quite a while and was happy to see Ron Stevens, the manager whom I haven't seen in ages! He was kind enough to spend time with me giving me the grand tour of The Mole Hole. It never ceases to amaze me how much they can get into that space! So many collections...Lladro, Lenox, beautiful oil lamps from Wolford and Peggy Carr's wonderful fused glass. There was a whole case of sparkling Swarovski that took my eye, all kinds of figures that would light up anybodys eyes!
I loved the ceramics by McGovney Camarot! They are all very contemporary in abstract designs in bright, modern, colors....outstanding!
There is a fun collection of clocks that were very unusual. A little of everything in here! I also loved the crazy glass birds that stood several feet high they run around $1700. and would be a real conversation piece...Ron has one of these in his home...doesn't surprise me...he had really good taste!
In the gallery you will find a collection of American Glass on display shelves grouped by color....and color they have, a gorgeous rainbow array. The orange and red hand blown glass by R. Strong is stunning. It resembles the works of Chauley. Also find original paintings by a local artist form Pine Island...VERY professional!
Different artist come in the store from time to time for signings.
There was a very unique art glass fountain done in rose and purple at $6500. That would really make a statement!
They are getting ready for Halloween and Christmas! A designer is coming in October and spending a week to decorate their trees. They will be spectacular!
Also carried is Dept. 56, well known for their villages. They keep this display up all year...a huge display for Xmas and one for Halloween...complete villages! You can buy each piece no matter how big or small individually.
Find the Byers Choice Carolers and a collection of Snow Babies too.
I really liked the collection of Pandora Jewelry...choose from the beautiful hand made beads and silver beads with the necklaces and bracelets to put them on and create your own piece in sterling and some in 14K.
You will also find a wide assortment of candles, bubble lights, paper products, serving pieces...the list goes on and on!
Plan on a visit soon and take your time to stroll through to see all the wondrous things! You will get some great gift ideas...Christmas is here before we know it!
