Decorating 101....

Bring a new look to your interior!

Just adding a piece or two and re-arranging things makes everything look new! Get ready for Fall.

I went into MATTER BROTHERS FINE HOME FURNISHINGS AND DESIGN recently to see what inspired pieces will add style to your home. You can't beat their prices if you are buying a piece or a whole house full! It is a huge store so they have a great selection always bringing home the "latest" from market!

They have a large selection of British Colony in the warm woods that will create a place that's nurturing and relaxing. I like to mix things up...you don't have to keep everything the same as to buy the cocktail table and all the end tables to match. By putting in something completely different adds interest.

Also find a selective collection of contemporary furnishings that makes your room breath a no-fuss, easy style that's anything but overdone. The selection of silver accents adds to the clean lines of the contemporary style. A few pieces will add a lot of interest.

The Cottage look is alive and well! Matter Brother's have a huge selection of this fun look. Tropical colors, beachy-islandy look. This is especially popular with the folks coming down from up North who want that postcard of cottage comfort! Prices are very reasonable: White shuttered entertainment center with storage underneath, $897.The end pieces that match with plenty of shelves for displaying your treasures, $347. A great unit at a great price! If you want to keep that cottage look going and you DO want things to match there is a shuttered top, covered with glass, coffee table $297. matching ends $247.They are available in a splash of color in 10 finishes...how fun is that! Need a sleeper for extra guests? How about a tropical print with whimsical sea creatures and rattan arms $999. Or a sofa $697.and love seat $647 in a crisp lime and blue awning stripe? Did you know you can order extra fabric to perhaps make extra toss pillows for the chairs in the room or maybe a valance over the window to tie the room together. There is a whole section for window treatments and wall coverings...ask for Carol, she is the expert when it comes to this.

For you TV watchers...I know you are out there...you can still find swivel rockers..or recliners for those who HAVE to have them! Grab a nap on a oh-so comfy recliner! Only now they are more stylish!! Even come in the prints that go with the sofas. In tropical prints you will find beach umbrellas, palms, boats, or flip flops. Some sofas $799. and Loves $747. If you don't find what you want there is a HUGE array of fabrics to choose from and you can order the pieces with about a 6-8 week wait.

You will find a selection of micro-suede, office as home section, a large leather gallery, a rug gallery and don't forget the Budget Center...You are liable to find anything back here...these are in most part, discontinued or one of a kind items that have been drastically reduced...so check it out.

Don't forget to dress your walls, the Matter boys have a super selection of wall art and fantabulous accessories!!

So make it a fall to remember, bring a new look to your interior. Make a statement with two main objectives: comfort and tranquility. Colors in your home should reflect who you are!

Go shopping...come home with a new treasured piece or a whole house full! Ask for my two favorite Matters, David or Gary and tell them The Savvy Shopper sent you!!
