This week I found the cutest little boutique tucked away on Park Meadows Drive called THE BEJEWELED PENGUIN. I even love the name! It's where fashion, fun, friends and frivolities meet!!

The owner Laura Sargeant was so sweet to talk to. You can tell she is very proud of her little Shoppe. She looks for things that you can't find anywhere else. She loves things that sparkle and are fun. And this is definitely a sparkly kind of store! And a lot of fun!! She started out with custom rhinestone embellishing on any garment you choose. Then added beading, necklaces, bracelets, etc. and kept adding more and more until she had this fabulous little store! She has been in business just over 2 years....I must have been asleep on the job not to have found it until just now! There is a wide variety of things found here. Ceramics embellished with silver wire and multicolor glass stones and beads from Pretty Stoned and Wired, designers Eliosa & Debbie. Quite unusual and very attractive. There are other colorful ceramics and cute candle holders for Thanksgiving and Halloween. Even has a 4 foot witch that would give anyone a fright at $27.50. The Christmas ornaments she sells all year long.

There were little black bras with hooks to hang your nightie on...single hook $9. or triple hook $22.50.

I loved the selection of hand made cards that can be framed at $5. Very inspirational to give someone a lift or a smile. Most are blank inside so you can write your own message. A cute one that said "Life is too short to drink cheap wine"...you sign it and give it to your hostess with a bottle of wine. She in turn signs it and gives it to someone else...see if it comes back to you! Cute!

The mugs had sayings on them...I had to read them all..."Teenagers...now who thought that was a good idea??" The one I loved...."Shopping SOLVES EVERYTHING!!!" $14.00

She carries Alexandrias Art for the senses and spa collection. Fragrance lamps $57.00, these are real beauties anyone would love to have!

A whole array of purses by Beijo from London, Paris, and N.Y. in all colors. Tigerlilys...they are decorated flip-flops with ribbons and jewels. And jewelry...lots 'n lots of jewelry!

Square candles, I've never seen these before, 14", two for $12.00. Cute luggage tags, Aloha shirts or flip flops $3.50. Or initialed luggage tags $6.50. Magnetic book marks. You never know what you will find. I am sure there are many things I didn't see.

But I did notice, Laura has a pretty selection of soft, sexy dresses and soft, romantic tops in yummy colors. Even colorful feather boas! It's not the age...it's the attitude!!
