Fun and funky ... on Fort Myers Beach
Posted April 8, 2008
Brittany's Broken Giraffe is just that! They have Tellavera pottery that is hand painted from Mexico.
Bright, bold, beautiful colors! Some look like they came from the South of France in typical blues and yellows. The huge hand-painted pots really catch your eye, one was as low as $205 and an extra large ... that's gargantous! It was $257. Simply fabulous! You will find all kinds of fountains that are bubbling away in all sizes and colors.
The owner Brittany is quite a talented artist, she paints on vintage furniture right in her shop. She will custom paint whatever you like.
Some of the other things I found were hand painted house tiles, unusual hand painted lamps, and a painted zebra mirror that was quite a conversation piece at $125. Also saw a large mirror with a sun design for $125.
There were all kinds of creatures for you garden or lanai in wall art made of ceramic ... cockatoos, fish, lizards, and parrots all in vivid colors and sizes. Also for your garden a Vietnamese bird bath up on a metal stand at just $95. How cool is that!
Pots, pots and more pots! Some were small table top pots, some were square and some were round, again in all sizes and colors. You are sure to find something here if you are in the market for pots!
You never know what you will find...I saw a whole orchestra of frogs!! They were so cute! Loved the big metal pink flamingo all painted up in his Sunday best.
Nancy Flower showed me around with her side kick....a little white poodle named Louie.
