Today is the day for extra savings ... Kohl's grand opening

Posted April 9, 2008

It is Kohl's grand opening today!

I went early this morning, the parking lot is huge, like for football parking. I didn't have trouble finding a place but when I came out you had to park in Egypt!!! Lots of people there! But it wasn't bad because there are 10 check out stations so the crowd moved rather fast. The store is bright and beautiful! They carry just about anything you would want for your home and family.

There were sales in every department, women's and men's clothing is near the front door. I found really cute dresses in summer colors at 60 percent off ... $14.40. Also at 60 percent were halter tops and tank tops for $5.60, blouses at $9.60. I loved the big selection of summer skirts for $24.99, cool and breezy.

Everyone needs a simple black dress, FOUND ... $33.60 ... perfect! Men's shirts were 40 percent off, ties 50 percent off, jams $16. Golf shirts 55 percent off!

In the middle of the store toward the front were cosmetics by Flirt and American Beauty. Grassroots skin care and a row of fragrances all on sale! Oh I forgot ... the jewelry department too!

On the right side find children's, infants and toddlers. The cutest little outfits, some were 2/$10 others 40-50 percent off. Darling little dresses, capris, shorts and tees all on sale. Same in the boys department. There is a maternity department and big shoe department with sales everywhere. Purses by Chaps, Villager, Apt.9 and Stone & Co. all 50 percent off. Vera Wang scarves 40 percent off.

In the back are video games and toys 10-30 percent off. Next comes cards, gift wrap, bags and ribbons. Are you keeping up with me? Now we come to summer living in housewares with 50 percent off including some furniture, dishes, and cute accessories. Loads of picture frames of every kind, tropical, family, modern and traditional. Come on along, see the metal art and candles? Next stop decorative pillows ... tons of them ... 50 percent off, some were very conversational ... ever have a conversation with a pillow? You know what I mean ... very cute and different! Next rugs at 40 percent, then bedding department and there were some knock your socks off bedding ensembles! Complete with everything to go with them ... awesome! Featuring Vera Wang, Daisy Fuentes and the wonderful Hotel Collection, many on sale here. It is easy to find your way around this huge store, it is well organized, next are the thirsty towels in rainbow colors and the sheet department. Then home coordinates and shower curtains, kitchen towels, and place mats galore!

But I loved the dishes, Corsica in bright, bright colors at 40 percent off and bright Fiesta and Bobby Flay 30 percent off. Great color combinations of others and beautiful glasses, wine and drinking. As you wrap around the corner you will find a complete department of housewares, everything from small appliances, bakeware, to Black & Decker coffee maker or blender for $14.99. How about a Hoover bagless vac at $79.99. Also find a complete luggage department. Back up-back up ... way back by the picture frames is a complete lingerie department right across from them! Too much for me to take in!

The dressing rooms were clean and bright and there was a lounge right outside for the bored husband/boyfriend to wait! What can get better than that!

Now you have had my ten cent tour ... it is a wonderful addition to our community, I am sure you will enjoy it! Get there early!
