Sharper Image offers inventions galore

There are so many interesting things to look at in this store. The one that really amazed me was Brian the Brain! Who needs a roommate with Brian the Brain? It is an interactive digital roommate that contains the encyclopedia, dictionary, calculator, world history, a calendar and clock and a personal organizer. It also has voice recognition! $119.95 — less hassle than a roommate and has all that knowledge! Another neat thing was the color photo viewer and weather station combined. It was $299 and was on sale at $199. Or how about a Franklin 12 language speaking global translator?
There are GPS systems. I would be sooo lost without mine! Or how about a bluetooth cell phone stereo visor car kit? That’s mouthful, but it means you hang it on the visor so you can speak hands-free! It was $79.99.
They had the Roomba Vacuuming Robot. Don’t you think that would be a plus? Air cleaners were buy one, get one half off.
Who thinks of all these things? Like a fully illuminated, 6-foot dog leash! When I was in, it was on sale for $19.99 — that’s half off!
There were things for the kitchen too, like a four-piece fresher storage set or a vacuum sealer. The micro edge two-piece carving set was only $11.95. One touch jar opener at $19.95. Micro edge cheese knife set with board $29.95. This sounds good — a personal smoothie maker — shake and take $29.95.
Zarafina has a tea maker set that is foolproof, it automatically brews a perfect cup. It includes two tea mugs and a tray for $149. An herb saver that triples the life of herbs just $29.95. Any of these would be useful.
For travel, I found some great luggage, a sleep mask for $19.99 and Pitotubes. It is rocket science for your packing developed by a former flight attendant. Elegant refillable bottles packaged in a smart plastic, see-through bag. No more hassle at security! It comes in a small set for $29.95 and a large set at $49.95.
There were automatic soap dispensers by Soap Genie, I got one for Christmas. It’s great!
There are magnetic mirrors and all kinds of things for skin rejuvenation, like a micro dermabrasion system. And, of course, contour foam pillows. Add a little romance with flameless wax candles $16 to $19.99.
Stuff for the kids: Skywars light sabers or robots, R2-D2. There were docks for I Pods with a pulse stereo so you get a synchronized light show. An Altec Lansing 8½-inch digital mini-theater for your I Pod: $299.
Mini exercise cycles, you name it! Takes a while to browse this store. There are so many unusual things to look at. But I am saving the best for last – three massage chairs — and guess who was sitting in them? All men! What a way to treat your guy after hauling him all around Miromar Outlets!
The Sharper Image is in the Miromar Outlets at 10801 Corkscrew Road in Estero. Phone: 949-6959.
