More than pictures ... the Picture Factory

Posted March 9, 2008

I went into the new Picture Factory this week and was amazed to learn that they have been in the new location in Bonita Commons for nearly a year! Their first anniversary is coming up in April. Time flies! Their first store opened in Naples in 1997 and they have been going strong ever since.

I think you all know that they have the areas largest selection of pictures and mirrors, but did you know they feature fine art from all around the world? It is beautifully displayed with picture lights, like walking through a gallery. The fine art is museum quality at factory prices. Picture Factory also offers custom framing.

It is one stop shopping for home decorating as they have a large array of home accessories, lamps, iron and bronze sculptures, tons of great accessories and floral arrangements. Also a wonderful selection of furniture pieces, each with its own style. You will find the unusual conversation piece that gets all the attention. The decorative chests caught my eye, on sale from $239. to $519. There were pieces designed to fit into a corner, console tables, handsome nesting tables, three for $199. and others at $223. Hand painted TV trays, four complete with a stand at $159. You don't see many of these any more. I saw a jewelry chest that had many drawers and compartments to hold all your bangles and beads!

The ceramic wall sconces were stunning at $48.-55. I loved the large decorative plates with a stand. There were many designs and colors to fit any decor. Some had additional ceramic pieces to coordinate with them.

The mirrors come in all sizes and shapes, from a small picture frame mirror for $11.99 to huge floor mirrors up to 66" x 90". Wonderful bronze statues and fish from $399. Pedestals in all sizes, plant stands, bakers racks, and beautiful decorative screens.

What's not to like about the fabulous ceramic floor pots! Some came nearly up to my shoulders. Priced from $399. for huge, $279 for medium size and the smaller ones, but not too small were $189. There were several different colors but the black ones were very dramatic.

The wall art was spectacular, I liked the stainless art with copper touches.

There is a clearance of 20% off accessories, mirrors and select pictures in honor of their stores 10th anniversary. Some items in the clearance section were as much as 50% off. A whole table of mini lamps were flying out at $9.99.

Take time to browse this beautiful store. It is the only one so far in the Bonita Commons at 25987 Tamiami Trail, Bonita Springs. Phone: 495-2605. Hours are Monday thru Saturday 10-6 and Sunday they are open from 11-5.

Happy hunting!
