The Pink Tangerine!

This is a darling little shop packed with the most unique gifts and treasures of all sorts. Plus a lot of things that will make you laugh, like the self hurt series of books: How To Get Fat, How To Get in Debt, or Driving Like a Maniac to name a few! Then there is the book on Aging DIS-Gracefully! Or Playing with Matches, How not to get burned by online dating!! That may be helpful to many as this is growing by leaps and bounds. Sounds scary to me!
My favorite was W.I.N.O.S---Women in need of sanity!! This is a series of cook books with wine as a main ingredient, there was one on Tapas and Hormonal Moments, cooking with chocolate and wine the one for men called Man your Grill, grilling with beer! If the books didn't get you laughing there were games to humor you, Wheels of Wisdom, Diagnose Your Neurosis or After the Break Up game.
Find a darling section for kids and babies with unusual items. I liked the baby bottle carrier, it is a little mesh bag with a strap and plush animal on it, very colorful and handy, $9.50. The plush back packs were so cute that had an extra passenger on the back, a darling plush animal that came out of his harness. All in bright colors that the kids love or the fuzzy packs complete with wheels that they can roll through the airport just like Mom or Dad. It also had an animal attached. Only $33.50. There were also small suit cases for kids in all the wanted colors. The tiny fork and spoon sets were perfect for a baby gift, packaged so cute with different sayings on the boxes, "It's not easy being a Prince"! For the older kids a tooth fairy pillow. Adorable kids spa robes just like Mom's and the best thing I have seen were the bathing suits for the little ones with built-in swim diapers! That's right no need to buy packages of those anymore, after the swim just throw it in the washing machine and you are ready for the next time! We go through tons of swim diapers every time my babies come to visit. This is quite a concept and the suits for boys or girls are simply divine! Find cleaver little things that would delight any little kid, like the turtle night light, it sits on the dresser or night stand, a cute little fellow to fall asleep with. Then there are the boo-boo bear gift packs that come with two cloth cubes you put in the freezer then back in the bears arm to ease all those many boo-boos they seem to get. The seat belt buddies were great ,so soft and fit over the restraints of the car seat making it more comfy for baby.
There is also a wedding section with some really different things for that special day.
I liked the display of all the compacts, mirrors and credit card holders that were engraved and beautifully boxed for giving. The compact: Is it hot in here or is it just me? Or Put your big girl panties on and deal with it! Credit card holder: Born to shop! Lipstick holder: It's all about me! Very cute and perfect gifts for the gal who has everything!
There is a small case of jewelry and some big bling rings in all colors. The little catch-all purses had sayings and pictures on them: I was never meant to work! or Girl, you keep talkin' but you ain't sayin' nothin'!
A great gift for an office worker was a cute mug that said I'll have a café mocha, valium latte to go please! That was one of many and they came with great packaging.
There is a great selection of hilarious cards, pop up cards and napkins. I could look at these all day! Also some cleaver luggage tags in bright colors to guarantee you won't lose your luggage. One said "take my luggage, do my laundry"! or simply "Not your Bag!"
You will find a little whimsy in here like the large flowers that are painted up in bright colors some with stripes or polka dots. But the best is the window full of fish and sea horses. They come in all sizes and have the attention to the smallest detail on them. They come from Poland. The fish have kissy lips and big eyelashes. Their fins are wired chiffon and all sparkly...AWSOME!!
This beautiful little shop is owned by Sheryl and Douglas Ferrie and located inside the Hyatt Regency at Coconut Rd. Besides having the most unusual, fun gifts they do event planning and furnish everything for a simple sophisticated party to the most elegant extravagant affair! They have a photo album of all the events they have planned and they are spectacular! Also in the back of the store is a case for fresh flowers, Sheryl makes outstanding arrangements to order. For that special dinner have her do one of her table scapes using her floral artistry.
This is definitely a shop you don't want to miss. A lot of people wouldn't think of going to the Hyatt for something unusual or that special gift. Go check it out---you won't be sorry! It's packed with all kinds of ideas.
The Pink Tangerine is at 5001 Coconut Road, in the Hyatt Regency. Bonita Springs.
