Asweet little shop...

The Savvy Shopper

A sweet little shop...

While I was out scouting around for some new stores to write about this week I came across this darling little shop...Cottontails! I liked everything I saw...a bad place for a grandma to go as I wanted it all!! Being the shoeaholic I am, I went nuts over all the tiny little shoes! Funny thing, my granddaughter who is four is as crazy about them as I am!! There were the cutest little thongs and sandals in every color. A little girl was trying on a pair of sparkly blue ones and insisted her grandma buy them for her! For the little guys there were many styles by Pediped and a big selection of Robeez but the one that took my heart were those by Dolly and Dimples, actually they were socks with shoes printed on them. Some looked just like Mary Jane's in pink or black with a lace trim cuff and for the boys were the tennis shoes with a cuff top. Just adorable!
The owner Judy Wayland said they had been in Naples for 12 1/2 years and in this location for 4 1/2 so she is not new to the market, she knows what people want and has a great mix of variety and price points of fine children's apparel and accessories. She carries sizes from preemie to 16 for girls and preemie to 7 for boys. The little sister, little brother outfits are very popular. Many are made locally. She also features accessories that would make nice gifts, picture frames, art for the walls, diaper bags, blankets, and plush toys. There is a nice selection of books, many are signed by the author. The book of Grand-o-grams was great! A book of 40 post cards designed just for kids! What kid doesn't love getting mail?
Another line is the baby care products from France by Mustela. She also carries sun screen for babies that is a must in our hot Florida sunshine.
The pale pink, soft velvet onesie with a little matching skirt and trimmed in roses would melt your heart! $32. Another was a white onesie trimmed with multi colored ribbon and a soft nylon scarf skirt trimmed with the ribbon and a sequin waist band $38. I loved the collection of soft, cotton knit flamingo print dresses, or yellow top with the printed skirt, super for our Florida girls. There is a great selection of bathing suits that you don't see everywhere else along with cover-ups, sun hats, and sun glasses galore! Cute ones for the boys too, some were one piece with the floaties sewn in so you don't have to worry about them in the pool. You will find a large selection of cotton shirts and short sets, caps and all sorts of things for the little boys as well as the girls. The sun dress on display was so cute topped with a white crocheted jacket.
Custom embroidery is available on shirts or dresses for that special personal touch. Adorable outfits for new born and infants are plentiful.
Judy makes it a fun, easy place to shop as one side of the store is for boys and the other side is for girls.
Cottontails is in the Fountain Park Centre #14 at 7935 Airport Pulling Road in Naples.
