Gannon's Antiques and Art
Area's Largest Mall!

I have passed Gannon's a zillion times but finally stopped in to see what it was all about. Oh my goodness! It is huge! The largest antique mall with 20,000 square feet of floor space. It is the home of 100 antique dealers with 50 stores in side this gigantic store. It also houses a fine art gallery with paintings and photography of exceptional quality for those who appreciate fine art.
It is owned by Richard and Ursula Gannon, Richard gave me the grand tour pointing out many different collectibles. He has so many interesting things like an 18th century captains liquor box. American coins in silver from the mid 1800's. A case of $20,000. worth of art glass by Tiffany. There is a set of six litho's in original frames that are over 100 years old at $499. for a pair.
Just about any thing can be found here, a collection of pocket watches, old antique buttons and political buttons, antique beaded purses, Lladro's, deco clocks from the 1920's, quilts, banks, tea cups, the list goes on and on.
One interesting piece that is in very good condition is an American made chest of drawers that has carvings on the back that reads 1756, Annapolis, Maryland. That's before we were a country! It is priced at $5999.
Another unusual piece is the French youth carriage from 1860 that was made for a wealthy European family. It was made for small children to be pulled by a pony.
There are some really old pieces in here, another was a 17-18 century ship master roll top desk going back to sailing days, it was lashed down to the deck. It was English with a second work station for the captain to read his maps while standing in rough weather.
There is a music section with violins, banjos and guitars, a ships store with a lot of brass. Weller pottery for collectors, a huge collection of African art.
An interesting selection of clocks dating back to the 18th century. There was a Scottish grandfathers clock, a French bronze clock and a country French Wag floor clock.
The price tag varies, there was a Tiffany lamp priced at $13,000. and a McCoy vase for $10. so there is something for everyone.
There are many local artists as well as the antiques. You will find mental work, jewelry and many paintings. He has art in mixed media by Tom Prather, who owns the Broadway Palm Theater. The William North Gallery is the resident artist at Wiggins Pass, view his beach-scape series. also his personal collection of art books. Local artist Ludmila Evans features beautiful hand crafted jewelry and pottery. You will love her Raku.
There are collectable Florida books not found in Barnes and Noble in perfect condition.
It is the very best creative works shown amidst an equally wondrous array of quality antiques. You can spend several hours exploring and not see everything. New additions arrive weekly. Gannon's offers entire estate liquidations, purchase of collections. or purchase of a single item.
Richard said their success is variety and value. So check it out, you will be surprised at what you will find.
