Special needs shelter in jeopardy

So Much Drama in the EOC

Lee EOC spokesman David Kainrad said the special needs shelter in Fort Myers has damage. The school is just one of several Fort Myers area buildings with water issues from roof ranging from leaks to failure and water coming in to the building.
The South Trail Fire District station on Crystal Drive lost its roof in the storm as well as a Sprint building on Winkler.
Water is seeping into the special needs shelter, but officials aren't too concerned at this time. However, with nearly 300 evacuees with medical conditions a move could happen if necessary.
The Lehigh hospital is also reporting roof damage that is causing patients to be moved internally.
