Fitzgerald’s closes pub on U.S. 41 East

Fitzgerald’s Irish Pub, 4519 U.S. 41 E., closed Thursday.
Owner Mick Fitzgerald said it “just wasn’t working out.”
“It wasn’t paying, it wasn’t covering itself, so we closed it,” he said.
The Bonita Springs Fitzgerald’s on Bonita Beach Road, which he said has had more business than ever, will remain open.
The Naples location was open since March 2007 before closing.
