A truism of life is that one should be aware not only of what you know but also of what you don't know.
This truism has been largely lost on our community organizer president who has been in way over his head economically, militarily and politically, precisely because he is oblivious to his own ignorance regarding these matters.
He also illustrates the extent to which he is in over his head theologically. In the same week where the Catholic Church is challenging the administration's efforts to impose health-care requirements involving contraception and abortion upon Catholic institutions, he becomes our Christian "apostle-in-chief," chiding the rich for failing to follow the scriptural directive from Luke: "For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required."
He does so as a scriptural rationale for the "wealthy" to be willing to take on higher taxes. Of course what he misses is that the scripture is a call to personal stewardship, tithing and giving. It calls for voluntary acts of generosity and charity on behalf of individuals, not mandatory contributions to the government coffers on behalf of classes of individuals.
Mr. President, here's a news flash for you. Tithing, philanthropy and charitable giving are not synonymous with the federal government taking money from us, whether we like it or not. The former is called "giving" and what you have in mind is called "coercion" and "theft."
Perhaps you should stick to what you know best (community organizing) and leave governing and Christian guidance to those who actually know what they are talking about.

Seriously? I guess someone like you has a much better grasp of these issues because you are a theologian? You have absolutely no practical experience in any of the matters you claim the President has no grasp of. Why? Because you said so? Maybe God told you in a dream?
Look at the facts:
-Economically: After being destroyed by W, the economy is finally rebounding. this is objectively demonstrated by all leading economic measures. You may reasonably argue about whether a different president would have done a better job, but you can also hypothesize
a different president would have done worse.
-Militarily: Bin Ladin, Al Alwacki, Kadaffi, Somali Pirates, out of Iraq, etc.
-Politically: All polls have Obama beating any of the republican competition, and that's before the campaign really begins and the economy continuing to improve.
I think it is you who is oblivious to your own ignorance. People like you ridicule the President because he was once a community organizer. Oh, what a terrible thing. We should all be ashamed to have a president who was once a community organizer. Seriously???
The federal government takes money from all of us all the time and redistributes it. This notion that Obama is some sort of socialist who wants to redistribute wealth is absurd and demonstrates the height of ignorance - both of the US tax Code and of the definition of Socialism. Taxation, by its very nature distributes revenue collected to public needs. This is nothing new. But apparently it is to you.
Finally, you and your church are among the greatest beneficiaries of the our tax code - being exempt. A great way to assist the US economy would be to let the government tax religious institution and their financial and Real Estate holdings. I suggest you tone down the Fox News rhetoric. Its starting to sound like political campaigning. And you know what that would mean to your precious tax exempt status. . .
