George W. Bush: The NAACP experienced an unwelcome case of Nixon Nostaliga in 2004, when it found itself under IRS scrutiny after the group's chairman, Julian Bond, told attendees of its annual convention to oust Bush. (The president had been invited to the convention but declined.) After a two-year investigation, the IRS backed off.

The bottom line... This stuff has been going on for years as the above article shows. If you notice Both Republicans AND democrats have dirty Hands.. agree?

People who live in glass houses should not throw stones! Case closed another sideshow in American history.

PLEASE READ THE COMMENTS AND TRY TO LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT IRS LAW! Like it or not!

http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2...

Just because both parties use the IRS for attack does NOT relieve the press or independent investigative committees from pursuing the truth. After all, Mr. Obama's claim when he entered office was to offer transparency.

Your comments related to this being a witch hunt undermine the seriousness and need for investigation and prosecution of individuals that LIE to a federal agent or before Congress or whatever agency seeks closure.

As other bloggers have suggested to which you do not agree, just because other Presidents engaged in IRS scandals does NOT mean we should simply accept this because it is the law. I am total confused by that statement. The IRS is the most powerful agency by virtue of its influence on most American lives.

The power of the IRS as a tool to attack Americans for whatever affiliation is effective. So to the statement 26yearsonmarco made earlier, this may be the beginning of the charge to promote a flat tax to limit this wanton misuse of the IRS.

The beauty of this IRS story: both sides of the ideological spectrum are concerned and may greatly influence the Obama administration going forward with regard to the administration of Obamacare since the IRS is the agency for compliance enforcement.

My feeling is more Americans will be influenced (although 46% of Americans are NOT following the IRS story) to lean towards a smaller Federal government with less power HOWEVER the Affordable Healthcare Act does just the opposite.

We will have to wait and see how this story unravels and influences Americans of all persuasions. But the Affordable Healthcare Act is the most powerful act with the greatest potential for misuse.

Now, in the news:

Sarah Hall Ingram, who led the agency’s tax-exempt division as it admittedly targeted conservative groups, has recently was promoted to chief of the health care reform office, tasked with implementing “Obamacare.”

And being promoted to such a position is more indication that things are going as planned in the Obama administration EXCEPT for the part of story now in the news under "IRS scandal" that is becoming public knowledge to be investigated.

I can only hope this is the beginning of the end to the implementation of Obamacare! But one thing is certain, we will have political viewpoints to support or discredit whatever position is taken.

Israeli doctor says Obama has a mental disorder. Labels him a pathological narcissist.

Written by Dr.Michael A. Haberman, M.D.

Israeli doctor says Obama has a mental disorder. Labels him a pathological narcissist and there is no greater insanity than electing one as President said Dr. Sam Vaknin who is an Israeli psychologist. Interesting view on our president.

Dr. Vaknin States "I must confess I was impressed by Obama from the first time I saw him. At first I was excited to see a black candidate. He looked youthful, spoke well, appeared to be confident, a wholesome presidential package. I was put off soon, not just because of his shallowness but also because there was an air of haughtiness in his demeanor that was unsettling. His posture and his body language were louder than his empty words. Obama's speeches are unlike any political speech we have heard in American history. Never a politician in this land had such quasi "religious" impact on so many people.

The fact that Obama is a total incognito with Zero accomplishment, makes this inexplicable infatuation alarming. Obama is not an ordinary man. He is not a genius. In fact he is quite ignorant on most important subjects."

Dr. Sam Vaknin, the author of the Malignant Self Love believes "Barack Obama appears to be a narcissist." Vaknin is a world authority on narcissism He understands narcissism and describes the inner mind of a narcissist like no other person. When he talks about narcissism everyone listens. Vaknin says that Obama's language, posture and demeanor, and the testimonies of his closest, dearest friends suggest that the man is either a narcissist or he may have narcissistic personality disorder (NPD).

Narcissists project a grandiose but false image of themselves. Jim Jones, the charismatic leader of People's Temple, the man who led over 900 of his followers to cheerfully commit mass suicide and even murder their own children was also a narcissist. David Koresh, Charles Manson, Joseph Koni, Shoko Asahara, Stalin, Saddam, Mao, Kim Jong Ill and Adolph Hitler are a few examples of narcissists of our time. All these men had a tremendous influence over their fanciers. They created a personality cult around themselves and with their blazing speeches elevated their admirers, filled their hearts with enthusiasm and instilled in their minds a new zest for life. They gave them hope! They promised them the moon, but alas, invariably they brought them to their doom.

26yearsonmarco writes:

Continued:

When you are a victim of a cult of personality, you don't know it until it is too late. One determining factor in the development of NPD is childhood abuse "Obama's early life was decidedly chaotic and replete with traumatic and mentally bruising dislocations, "says Vaknin. "Mixed-race marriages were even less common then. His parents went through a divorce when he was an infant two years old. Obama saw his father only once again, before he died in a car accident. Then his mother re-married and Obama had to relocate to Indonesia , a foreign land with a radically foreign culture, to be raised by a step-father. At the age of ten, he was whisked off to live with his maternal (white) grandparents. He saw his mother only intermittently in the following few years and then she vanished from his life in 1979. "She died of cancer in 1995."

One must never underestimate the manipulative genius of pathological narcissists. They project such an imposing personality that it overwhelms those around them. Charmed by the charisma of the narcissist, people become like clay in his hands. They cheerfully do his bidding and delight to be at his service. The narcissist shapes the world around himself and reduces others in his own inverted image.
He creates a cult of personality. His admirers become his co-dependents. Narcissists have no interest in things that do not help them to reach their personal objective. They are focused on one thing alone and that is power. All other issues are meaningless to them and they do not want to waste their precious time on trivialities. Anything that does not help them is beneath them and does not deserve their attention.

If an issue raised in the Senate does not help Obama in one way or another, he has no interest in it. The "present" vote is a safe vote. No one can criticize him if things go wrong. Those issues are unworthy by their very nature because they are not about him.

Obama's election as the first black president of the Harvard Law Review led to a contract and advance to write a book about race relations. The University of Chicago Law School provided him a lot longer than expected and at the end it evolved into, guess what? His own autobiography! Instead of writing a scholarly paper focusing on race relations, for which he had been paid, Obama could not resist writing about his most sublime self. He entitled the book Dreams from My Father.

26yearsonmarco writes:

Continued:

Not surprisingly, Adolph Hitler also wrote his own autobiography when he was still a nobody. So did Stalin. For a narcissist no subject is as important as his own self. Why would he waste his precious time and genius writing about insignificant things when he can write about such an august being as himself?

Narcissists are often callous and even ruthless. As the norm, they lack conscience. This is evident from Obama's lack of interest in his own brother who lives on only one dollar per month. A man who lives in luxury, who takes a private jet to vacation in Hawaii, and who raised nearly half a billion dollars for his campaign (something unprecedented in history) has no interest in the plight of his own brother. Why?
Because, his brother cannot be used for his ascent to power. A narcissist cares for no one but himself.

This election was like no other in the history of America. The issues were insignificant compared to what is at stake. What can be more dangerous than having a man bereft of conscience, a serial liar, and one who cannot distinguish his fantasies from reality as the leader of the free world?

I hate to sound alarmist, but one is a fool if one is not alarmed. Many politicians are narcissists. They pose no threat to others. They are simply self-serving and selfish. Obama evidences symptoms of pathological narcissism, which is different from the run-of-the-mill narcissism of a Richard Nixon or a Bill Clinton for example. To him reality and fantasy are intertwined.

26yearsonmarco writes:

Continued:

This is a mental health issue, not just a character flaw. Pathological narcissists are dangerous because they look normal and even intelligent. It is this disguise that makes them treacherous. Today the Democrats have placed all their hopes in Obama. But this man could put an end to their party. The great majority of blacks voted for Obama. Only a fool does not know that their support for him is racially driven. This is racism, pure and simple.

The downside of this is that if Obama turns out to be the disaster I predict, he will cause widespread resentment among the whites. The blacks are unlikely to give up their support of their man. Cultic mentality is pernicious and unrelenting. They will dig their heads deeper in the sand and blame Obama's detractors of racism. This will cause a backlash among the whites.. The white supremacists will take advantage of the discontent and they will receive widespread support. I predict that in less than four years, racial tensions will increase to levels never seen since the turbulent 1960's.

Obama will set the clock back decades. America is the bastion of freedom. The peace of the world depends on the strength of America, and its weakness translates into the triumph of terrorism and victory of rogue nations. It is no wonder that Ahmadinejad, Hugo Chavez, the Castrists, the Hezbollah, the Hamas, the lawyers of the Guantanamo terrorists, and virtually all sworn enemies of America are so thrilled by the prospect of their man in the White House.

America is on the verge of destruction. There is no insanity greater than electing a pathological narcissist as president .

Michael A. Haberman, M.D.

26,

The very disturbing problem we now face is that, if what you posted is evenly partially true we still have Obama's followers to consider. We know from where a high percentage of his votes came from and why they voted for him.
It was racism and looking for a free hand out.

Yet there are still people who, although, living in an area such as Marco Island who feel he will look out for them. So did many Jewish people early in the 1930's think that Hitler would be good for them. Those who were smart took what they had and left Germany and we know what happened to those who could not or did not. This is not saying that something like this could happen here but you still have those "believers" still attempting to justify Obama's actions. This is very disturbing, at least. Do they really think he and his wife care about them as those earlier Jewish people thought that Hitler cared about them?

Michelle Obama has been out of the limelight for a good reason. Yes, she lost weight and looks better, but I have never heard a word uttered from her mouth that would in any way show that she changed her opinion about all of America and not her earlier stated hatred.

We still do not know what is in her college paperwork other than what the press released.

B. Obama has spent millions to hide what he wrote during his college years, WHY?

This is a less than comfortable matter for many of us to contemplate and we must decide what is best for the future.

Too many parallels, not to, at least, make one think hard.

For your information I did not vote for the Boogieman! As I was out of state helping friends dig sand out their home do to Hurricane Sandy!

Friendship is more important than politics. For me the election was on the back burner. I knew who was going to win. No tax returns... you won't get my vote, and many felt the same. Let see who helps you dig out if we have a problem here?

While digging we all had a big laugh at your expense just before and after the election. Four of us enjoyed your count down to the the elections end only for you to loose, again. I wish I could post pictures.

No one would want to see what I did during those 3 weeks up north. For me, It was a preview of what could happen here on Marco. I went thru several batteries during the process of posting, but you alone made it worth the trip!

Your single minded attitude and ridge stubbornness brought hours of joy to friends who are still recovering to this day.

Thanks again 26! For bringing something of value to the table.

Just like those cheering crowds of Germans in Germany. Very few claimed to have supported him after May 1945. Do you really expect any of us to believe your post 1P?

Maybe you helped your friends which was a wonderful thing, but your cheering the boogieman, as you now call him, for months if not years, puts anything you say very much in doubt.

The good thing is that denial is the first step to recovery...Good luck.

Now as 26 has put it let us get back to the IRS Travesty. Which is more important than the back and forth, diversional, sideshow between me and 1P.

Bet you can't do it 1P!

1Paradiselost writes:

Speaking of the IRS and travesty, why would any GOOD American vote for a man who would NOT disclose his tax returns?

It's been an American tradition for over 50 years.

The IRS is currently being investigated by a select bipartisan panel. We as Americans should wait until the panel completes their investigation before trowing stones at one another.

It seems to me people are quick to blame others to diver attention away from the real issues we face as a society.

AKA SIDESHOW POLITICS!

26yearsonmarco writes:

1P:
The definition of the word “TRADITION”.
tra•di•tion noun \trə-ˈdi-shən\

1. a : an inherited, established, or customary pattern of thought, action, or behavior (as a religious practice or a social custom)

b : a belief or story or a body of beliefs or stories relating to the past that are commonly accepted as historical though not verifiable

2.: the handing down of information, beliefs, and customs by word of mouth or by example from one generation to another without written instruction

3: cultural continuity in social attitudes, customs, and institutions

4: characteristic manner, method, or style <in the best liberal tradition>

I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE HOW MANY OF OUR POLITICOS ON BOTH SIDE OF THE ISLE OF THE GONAGS TO EVEN MENTION A FLAT TAX.

BOTTOM LINE: IT’S TIME TO BREAK “TRADITION”, PERIOD.

1Paradiselost writes:

26.....

I agreed with Steve Forbes years ago about the flat tax. However the current system promotes pork spending by congress. Gonna be a hard road to get the flat tax passed.

To much greed in system to have that type of tax system in America. Congress could not line their pockets with the history & TRADITION of kickbacks!

WMissow writes:

Possibly to go along with a flat tax, there should be in the tax code a way to tax those on Welfare who make more than the amount that a working taxpayer has to pay on. Perhaps along the lines of what those on Social Security recipients have to pay when they from other sources have additional income.

This way everyone has a fair share in governmental expenses.

1Paradiselost writes:

You can't get blood from a stone!

WMissow writes:

Too bad that the system has enabled many of these people to become "stones" as per your reference.

1Paradiselost writes:

Stone = dead weight!

WMissow writes:

Well, maybe it is about time that, those that do not need welfare, pull their dead weight.

1Paradiselost writes:

How can someone "Pull Their Dead Weight" if employers won't hire them?

Your an employer... You have 6 people looking for a job you have open in your company.

The applicants are: 2 women, 2 men, one white and one Hispanic and 2 black men.

If you had to eliminate 4 candidates who all has the same qualifications which 2 would be left?

Question... Which one would you finally hire?

WMissow writes:

Come on you know as well as I that what you ask is a loaded question.

Do you really think that those who for generations are on welfare fall into the category of well qualified?

WMissow writes:

And not to be rude. What does any of this have to do with the IRS and what has gone on and is presently going on in Washington with those being questioned now taking the 5th in order to get out of testifying?

Just responding to your post of....

"Well, maybe it is about time that, those that do not need welfare, pull their dead weight"

You brought it up my friend!

AS far as the IRS hearings... It's only fair to reserve judgement AFTER the congressional bipartisan panel reports it's findings to the American people.

That's why we have a court system in America. No hangings until proven guilty!

Any comment before that would be total speculation and side show politics.
