David Brooks wrote a pretty good column today re: "suffering fools gladly". He says that respecting the ideas of others and responding with clear and honest beliefs in your position may result in understanding and possibly progress in resolving disagreement. So I am trying to respect the author of this assertion that Pres. Obama is destroying America and bringing in a communist state. But it is hard for me. So I will just say that I don't agree with any of his assertions and I won't try to disprove a theory...this President Obama has tried above and beyond to work with Republicans and even Tea Party extremists to put America back to work and pull it out of the deep recession with absolutely no help in return. He has been accused by those same people of being for Wall Street Capitalists ( the bailout ) against Social Security (fiscal cliff negotiations and proposals) by elderly Republicans and Democrats and every other hateful opponent of his presidency. Not exactly communist principles I would say... Well now, against this background, he was just re-elected by a majority. So,to regress just a little, the writer of the above diatribe can "stuff it".
