True politicans, shaking hands kissing babies, hoping to create another job for themselves at the cost of the taxpayer. Perhaps they should revisit many bridge projects in other states and see which ones have come in on time and under budjet. If the bridge is any way like the water utility that has been for the good of the residents why are the bills so high? This bridge is not needed and who is going to pay for it in the future? I guess that residents have no say over this bridge but as far as politicans go the actions that they take now will have a long term effect on the people of Marco Island. As far as hurricanes go, there is not that many people to move out. There should be a sign placed at the foot of the new bridge "welcome to the land of Oz where dreams come true"
