The reality is that spending must stop. Paying "cronies" high pay along with full perks and retirement must stop. Paying this person 100,000 to communicate is crazy. I remember when I first came to the Island I believe she was an ordinance officer now 100,000 annually. The problem is the City Council, they do not hear the people and want to grab the money and even dare to ask for 33% in pay hike. In these times they should be taking no pay at all if they are so loyal to Marco Island and its people. I say that the council needs to be voted out and new people with the Island interests in mind need to step up. If we continue down this path this Island will become very expensive to maintain and support by the average owner.
