Ed you have not got a clue. This incident came to ahead this week when city staff OPENLY questioned Thompson's lack of leadership. For councilmen to say they were blindsided by this is not true. Almost all city employees saw this coming Friday. By one means or another all the council knew this was going to happen. Unless you lived in a bubble, most residents knew it too. Ask an city employee as well as those who spoke up for Thompson, nice guy by stated nothing about his leadership ability. He was known for his inability to make decisions.
