Living in SWFL for about 7 years now and experiencing the ultimate high with soaring property values, an abundance of jobs and low taxes and now the crash of the economy lost job(including my own) and increase in taxes I have seen it all.Jackson Labs sounds good to some businesses and to some politians but not to the everyday people or the seasonal people of Collier County. To Spend or to ask everyone in Collier County to pay $150,000,000 for one business to create 1200 jobs over 6 years is mind boggling. Collier County could spend this money on Local people or County resources to help people keep there jobs and family "Local Families" can stay here. Also here is another fact why we should not go forward. Jackson Labs had the similar opportunities in California and offered the state 1000 jobs over 6 years. But they never held up there side of the bargin. They only created 200-300 jobs! But now since the County is so deparate for jobs they need to invest a huge some of money? This doesn't make sense.Lastly "Everyone" in the county of Collier should stand-up and say something because remember these people "The Commissioners" are also the ones who helped put the county in this mess during the Real Estate Boom and Bust. By not adaquitly regulating growth and spending vast sums of money on nothing. Collier County had a huge surplus, where is it!
