From my perspective, the results of the G20 summit was a meeting of the yuan meets the dollar. The procurer of dollars (bonds) meets the consumer of yuan priced goods.
The two giants of the G20 are not getting along and are posturing while all the other kids in the sandbox are scared.
It is a simple view but it makes for great battle. We are now truly a global economy and America is printing dollars thereby devaluing is worth against other currencies. This will make Treasury bondholders (like China) to get a wee bit upset when inflation starts to strip away the value the holders of fixed income.
It is a complex world out there, but if I had a Boehmer with limited business experience prior to public service vs a Obama with community activist advocacy, I will go with a Boehmer to deal with the Chinese and our debt.
But then again, that's my opinion. And K, to your point that "Nobody cries", I believe Americans have an idea. It is the one at the top, that American we call President, that is hell bent on domestic policies that cripple America vis-a-vis the world.
And I expect more from our representatives, since we elected them to represent us. And I believe the last election was a turning point which challenges the current administration.
