The absence of so many financial oversight regualtions during the last two administrations are the single greatest cause of our resources drying up. Streets with property not generating revenue and fees can put a damper on a small town like ours. Soon we won't be able to afford collecting our garbage much less our excrement. But, there is hope. Economic indicators indicate Obama's recovery efforts are making progress, although slowly. Last quarter showed record profits for corporations, the banks and auto industry are paying off their loans with interest, all contributing to a decline in the deficit. Shiny new cars can be seen on our roads again. The population of hybrids and alternative fuel vehicals are ready to take off. Restaurants up north are reporting an increase in customers. Excellent and undeniable indicators of progress are occurring every week. Today the business community is crowing about recent black friday sales exceeding those of the last year. Consumers are opening their wallets again demonstrating that cash and not credit will be the reponsible way to go. Hopefully, the new House Republicans will deliver with their promises next year to improve the economy. Can't wait to hear what their solutions are. When the Tea Party members and the new Republican House members reveal their plan to help business create jobs, Rony's problems may go away and our realators can start selling houses again. Happy times may be coming back. Keep your fingers crossed.
