Kiester is wrong as usual.Council members do NOT APPOINT Code Board members. They NOMINATE them. All seven members of the City Council vote on the nomination and if the nominee receives a majority of the votes in the affirmative; the nominee will then be appointed. If a City Councilman, WITH CAUSE wants the removal of one or more members of the Code Enforcement Board, he or she shall make a motion during a regularly scheduled City Council meeting, get a second and then the member vote to remove or not to remove the Code Board member.
