The selection of this site appears to have more to do with saving a few dollars for the Academy then it did with any environmental concerns.

According to the Sun Time's article it seems that there was another site available, but, the owners did not want to negotiate any more then they already did.

This then became, a saving a few dollars issue, without the previously touted conservation or environmental concern for the Academy.
