The island charter HS is sounding like a better idea all the time. If given a choice, responsible parents would prefer to shelter their kids from murderers, gangs and drug dealers so they have a chance of growing up. I certainly do!
It's a totally different society today than it was when you old farts (and us middle aged farts) grew up in. Kids need every break they can get now days. If that labels me as an "elitist, bigot or not politically correct" you are wrong. It labels me as a parent who loves my kids and wants to see them grow up in a safe environment.
