In retrospect I think that there would have been a great deal more acceptance by the community had the "Y" been that starting place as originally stated by the Academy. If things were to work out there, then the next step in growth might have been a great deal easier.
But when statements of "Done Deal", "I never ever lose, ever", "almost dead residents living around Tract K", "child haters", "idiots for not reading the deed" were uttered by proponents a barrier was erected instead of a means for the community to work together to find a solution to a problem. Now that too seems doubtful.
Too bad egos stood in the way. Maybe an honest and true concern for the community would have helped instead of the I am going to get my way, or else attitude exhibited at the CCSB meetings.
