This is why the city is creating more problems than it solves when reviewing ways to cut costs, when I read this:
"One item left pending was a detailed analysis of building and operating costs for the proposed new community center at Mackle Park"
Why does one even consider a detailed analysis for the proposed new community center, when a quick thumbnail sketch using common sense says it is not a must have, and consequently no additional cost to burden the operating budget.
Move on to the real cost cutting issues. Sometimes these groups cannot even concentrate on the work at hand in an efficient manner.
Are they serious, they need to review a detailed analysis?
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! If this is just a hint of things on the agenda, the city has a long way to go.
