Nobody I know ever expressed an interest in it. Nobody I asked bothered showed any interest in visiting it.

People visit or move here for the climate, the beach, golf. Nobody cares about the gossamer achievements of either the Calusa or original redneck settlers.

So taxpayers have subsidized this vanity project museum nobody goes to.

Worse the tiny building has wasted a large block the library -- which people really do visit -- could have used for expansion, parking, and perhaps cultural performances under the gazebo.

If you take the Gunga Jane Academy seriously, this block would have been the place to put it, next to the library and Mackle athletic fields.
