Delusional? Not at all. In all other civilized nations in the world, entire Europe for example, it works. In China too. And in Cuba! And it works good. If you got 50 000 000 Americans under health insurance by law and every American pays at least $ 100 per month (that is hypothetical the lowest amount I guess) means $ 1200 per year that covered the health expenses for this amount of people easily. The health problem in America is more substantial. The health expenses to treat you well are to high. For example: A heart attack cost in Naples to treat it all in $ 250 000 +. In Germany less than $ 30 000 by better treatments and better human services. Face the real problems. Americas health system is out of control. Great President Barack Obama did the first step to change it. Salute him. He is outstanding.
And by the way. What is more important for you? A useless war cost a couple of Trillion $$$ and casualties or 1 trillion $ for the health of the American people?
You may not know it, but you just revealed the answer to to the health care crisis in America. With this statement...A heart attack cost in Naples to treat it all in $ 250 000 +. In Germany less than $30,000. Why?
Obamacare does not address the out of control costs! CNBC had a CEO of one of the drug companies on this morning. He was against allowing Americans to buy RX drugs from other countries where they are cheaper. He says that would compromise the quality of the drugs. I say BS! It's called free market capitalism! The companies that sell MRI, CAT scan, etc, machines make sure there are only a certain amount of machines located in a given geographic location. Why? To keep them scarce to keep costs up. The Chinese or the Japanese could probly crank these out like flat screen TV's or ipads. Then there is insurance. Why can't I buy my insurance from another state or country for that matter? It's the GOV stopping this, why?
The above measure are a start to bringing down the cost. Cost is key. It will allow people without insurance to pay for the services out of their own pocket if they choose not to buy health insurance. It will bring the health insurance cost down for the people that do purchase health care insurance.
