This Letter to the Editor is GREAT !!! It demonstrates the essence of a Democracy and what makes voting so essential in ALL elections, whether Local, State or Federal.
The "hundreds of letters of opposition" referred to above are never to be taken lightly, but we must all respect our elected officials for wanting to represent and vote for the MAJORITY of citizens (registered Marco Island voters) that voted them into office.
If it is not obvious to the 2,000 of you that continuously complain and who voted for the candidates that lost in the last election, the majority of voters wanted the STRP completed, want new raods, want new parks, want a City that reflects the future, NOT THE PAST.
Again, until the majority demographics of Marco Island voters changes, we can pnly hope that the majority vision for our future does not change.
Again, everone's opinion is important, some just more than others.
