Some people just like to revel in their misery and persistanly enjoy sharing that misery with others.

There must have been a really serious cause and effect which makes them constantly react in this manner.

I suspect that they have failed in their own lives and think everyone else should do the same, just so that they can say that they are equal to or better than others. (Psychology 201)
