Laurie Flynn makes some very thoughtful comments on some of the advantages of promoting Marco as a destination, although fundementaly I think of us as a residential community...not Fort Myers Beach. The tourists the hotels are attracting certainly bring the people that do us the most good. I'm not sure beating up councilmen who might have some personal finance issues is relevant, the last 4 or 5 years have been tough on a lot of people that are retired...are they meeting their responsibilities as our representatives...a better measuring stick methinks.
