Based on the artless responses of 2themoon, johninmarco, ajm3s and 16_days it is no wonder why Marco Island lost a candidate who wanted to serve as a reasonable, balanced councilor.

The above comments are typical of the mudslinging Marco misanthropes who debase the higher strivings of communal community decision making through respect for one's opposition. They are a disgrace.

Mudslinging? Lost a candidate?

As to the loss of a candidate, I have endorsed three candidates; though I did take the liberty to embellish Mr. Granda's surname.

If you believe this motley crew is a disgrace, then you must include Mr. Granda, in which he, as a Code Compliance Board member walked out of a scheduled Code Compliance meeting in protest, leaving citizens, defendant attorneys and city staff in disbelief. And in a previous LTE, Mr. Granda, uses the term Cavedwellers to define a group of citiizens. Quite a compliment?

Now that is what I would consider a disgrace, in fact, a public disgrace.

And you may add Mr. Magel, Chairman of City Council to the list of public officials that I believe is not acting in the best interest of ALL citizens by selectively targeting a group of residents and promoting a scenario to foster fear without any evidence of such comments.

Given such shenanigans by Mr. Magel, as well as an incumbent (Mr. Recker) to use the city website to issue an Op/Ed in violation of municipal/county campaigning laws, I would expect a more positive opposing slate. But again, we are the misanthropes, but Mr. Magel et al are to be held in high esteem because of their standing in the community?

By endorsing Mr. Petricca, Mr. Honecker and Mr. Sacher, I am offering a positive alternate choice given their platform of promoting transparency and fiscal responsibility.

If I have an opposing view, I am a misanthrope? Interesting I am amongst those "who debase the higher strivings of communal community decision making through respect for one's opposition".

Really?

Aughhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
