I would hope that individuals that legally possess firearms make every attempt to keep the firearms in a secure location. It seems to me that this terrible incident could have been prevented,if the weapons were out of reach of the assailant. It appears that the young man was not able to go to school on a normal basis, and act correctly around other people. He was diagnosed with an illness and better care needed to be taken to make every attempt to keep a good watch on him. The real thing I am trying to say without being too harsh is a big mistake was made not keeping the guns locked up.

How shall an alcoholic mother lock the guns safely up?
What we face is a totally normal American family.
A couple of course divorced has two crazy kids but a lot of money. Mother loves her boys idolatrous. Instead of train and educate them her devices are very clear to the babysitter: "Turn never your back to my son!"
She is an alcoholic, three times a week and more in her special pub, get her honored chair now and a doomsday fanatic. Rifles and all other killing stuff at home to avoid the Obama Bin Laden attack.
Son is social an underdog but the influence of this lovely family paper over any conflict or miss behavior.
Not mentally sick but at least spoiled because daddy left the family for some younger chick. Like I stated:

A TOTALLY NORMAL AMERICAN FAMILY WITH THE RIGHTS OF THE SECOND AMENDMENT.

May GOD bless America. How many innocent 6 years old boys and girls and very encouraged teacher more unless America understand the wake up call.
