YES! It was a very "CLOSE" relationship between the Chamber and City-COUNCIL in the past.
Very close with John A., the man with the photos, turncoat Poppoff, Waldi, Gibbon, the bridge guy or Trotter. Never forget King Moss.
But if I look back, it was not good for Marco Island citizens and tax-payers. Fact!
In my political opinion a close relationship between a Chamber and politics is like devil and holy water. Fits not together.
If politicians likes it, the Chamber is weak. If the Chamber likes it, politicians are useless.
